Repentance

So, you are not forgiven by God yet? So God has not forgiven you for all the wrong things you have said, done, thought, felt, etc.  So, you still carry shame, guilt, and pain because your sins separate you from the One True Holy God?  (Isaiah 59:2; Isaiah 52:13-15; Isaiah 53)   You don't have to hold your sins any longer! Every thing CAN be forgiven.

What does it take to be forgiven by the Lord God Almighty? What does a person have to do to be forgiven by God?

You must do three things -Repent to the Lord God and Confess your sins, ASKing God to forgive you of them.

Does God want anyone to come to Him with all of his or her sin and filthy heart? YES!!

God wants YOU NOW

God says, “Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.”  Isaiah 45:22

"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices! Ezekiel 14:6

"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18

"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Acts 3:19

Jesus said, “In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10

God exalted Him (Jesus Christ) to His own right hand (Lord God) as Prince and Savior that He might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel. Acts 5:31

Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit. Psalm 32:2

Repentance is Turning to the Opposite Direction of where you were headed.

Repentance is Turning away from Rebelling Against God.

Repentance is Turning To God for your Life and Living in Obedience to God by His Word and Holy Spirit.

A repentant person strives daily to live by God's Laws, Righteousness and God's Holy Spirit

(A person who has honestly repented to the Lord God is a A True Christian)

How do you Repent? > Repenting.

God commands each of us to repent of our natural inclinations and positions and turn to Him and to live for Him alone! God tells this to each of us in His Word. Below is written what God says. Read each Bible verse aloud to yourself. Listen to what God is saying to you personally.

As you read, Consider, Is there an area of your life, of your priorities, your relationships, your attitudes, words, thoughts, emotions, and actions that God wants you to turn over to Him? Where does God want you to turn away from some of your ways and instead have God's Ways rule those areas of you life?

"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My Ways higher than your ways and My Thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:9

God speaks of the person who blocks out God, the Unrepentant person-

O LORD, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain; you crushed them, but they refused correction. They made their faces harder than stone and refused to repent. Jeremiah 5:3

21 Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear: 22 Should you not fear me?" declares the LORD. "Should you not tremble in my presence? I made the sand a boundary for the sea, an everlasting barrier it cannot cross. The waves may roll, but they cannot prevail; they may roar, but they cannot cross it. 23 But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts; they have turned aside and gone away. Jer 5

God tells them what they have done— that they have sinned arrogantly. He makes them listen to correction   and commands them to repent of their evil. If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment. But if they do not listen, they will perish by the sword and die without knowledge. "The godless in heart harbor resentment; even when he fetters them, they do not cry for help. They die in their youth, among male prostitutes of the shrines. Job 36:10-14

God tells the Results of Not Repenting to the Lord God Almighty -

They have lied about the LORD; they said, "He will do nothing! No harm will come to us; we will never see sword or famine.  -  Your wrongdoings have kept these away; your sins have deprived you of good. Jeremiah 5:12,25

Why do you cry out over your wound, your pain that has no cure? Because of your great guilt and many sins I have done these things to you. Jeremiah 30:15

God's Heart still reaches to the Rebellious person who is against Him -

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. Isaiah 30:15

I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. 31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel? 32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live! Ez 18

Eyes open - Hearts are changed - Someone Repents!!

Then Job replied to the LORD "I know that You can do all things; no plan of Yours can be thwarted. You asked, 'Who is this that obscures My counsel without knowledge?' Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. "You said, 'Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer Me.' My ears had heard of You but now my eyes have seen You. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes." Job 42:1-6

Read Psalm 51         Be Fertile Soil.       Worship God.      Grow as God's child

Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. Matthew 3:8, Luke 3:8

ASK the Lord God Almighty to forgive you. If you have repented to God, then confess your sins to Him that He would remove them from you and forgive you. Make a direct confrontation with God on His Terms, that is, through His Son Jesus Christ

ASK = Jesus said, "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; Seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Luke 11:9-10 (James 1:5-8; James 4:1-10

To be forgiven by God means you must ASK God to forgive you. You must approach God as Who He is and Know that He will accept your humble and honest request to relinquish your sins to His Son Jesus and to surrender your life to live for the God of the Bible alone. You Commit to love God His way by His Word and His Power.  The Lord God says Come to Me - Come Near Now.   I want to Ask God Now> Sinner's Prayer, Pure Heart.        Just asking seems pretty lazy. What do I have to do? Repent !
